Human Credentials | Psychotherapy Training

Central to my psychotherapy practice is providing services to women, teens, and families. Through volunteer work, I gained an integral knowledge of how to help survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and domestic violence. Working in inpatient psychiatry provided skills in treating substance abuse and chronic Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar disorders. In graduate school I specialized in children and families with internships in treatment foster care and special education for severely emotionally disturbed children.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have served teens in a variety of community settings, including Phillips School for the Severely Emotionally Disturbed and Suburban Mental Health Associates in Maryland. Upon relocating to Colorado, I partnered with Compass House in Boulder to provide individual, group, and family therapy, and intake assessments. As a member of the Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse team, I facilitated equine assisted psychotherapy for teens recovering from substance abuse. For seven years, I co-facilitated teaching equine therapy to Naropa’s Wilderness Therapy program. I then implemented an equine therapy mentorship program for psychotherapy graduate students.

Today my practice specialties include: adoption and attachment disorders; anxiety and depression; substance abuse; teen mentoring; and supporting women during life transitions.
